BIA DOES NOT WITHHOLD INFORMATION REGARDING DRAŽA
Historians have started a search for documents
regarding the execution of Dragoljub Draža Mihailović in 1946.
Members of the State Committee of Investigation of the facts
regarding the execution and funeral of Dragoljub Draža Mihailović,
the Supreme Commander of the Yugoslav Army in the Fatherland,
visited the BIA’s underground premises at Banjica plateau. Miroslav
Panić, the the BIA director Saša Vukadonović’s special advisor and
host for the historians investigating this matter, together with
polite coworkers opened the door and presented the documents hidden
from the public for inspection.
- The complete documentation regarding this matter lies before you.
Mark whatever you want to copy and it will be done as you wish –
said Panić having spent five hours with six Committee members,
Momčilo Pavlović, Miladin Milošević, Novica Stevanović, Bojan
Dimitrijević, Kosta Nikolić and Dragan Vlahović.
In abundance of documents, the historians have found an armful of
unpublished papers, photographs and historically very important data
regarding 1946 and the political events of that time.
Saša Vukadinović, the BIA director, in a long conversation with the
State Committee members, stated that there was no reason for BIA to
withhold any information from the public regarding this matter in
its premises and that he would back up any further search regarding
this issue.
